Radon411 may earn a commission from purchases made through this link. It does not affect the price you pay or which products we list.
What this means in plain language
Some links on Radon411 to retailers such as Amazon or Home Depot are affiliate links. When an affiliate relationship exists and is active, and you buy something after clicking one of those links, we may earn a small commission from the retailer. You pay the same price either way; the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not yours.
How we label a link
Every product page and comparison table resolves its retailer links through a single piece of code (resolveLink()), so the label always matches reality:
- “View at [Retailer]” with a disclosure note beneath it: an active affiliate link. The disclosure appears immediately below the link, not only on this page.
- “View at [Retailer]” with no disclosure note: a plain link to where the product is sold. We earn nothing from it.
- “Manufacturer”: we only know the manufacturer's own product page for this item, not a retailer that sells it.
- “Currently unavailable” or “No retailer on file”: exactly that. We never show a button that leads nowhere or that claims a purchase option that does not exist.
What an affiliate relationship never affects
Whether we earn a commission on a link has no bearing on which products we list, how we describe their specifications, or how they appear in a comparison table. We do not purchase, use, or hands-on test any product we cover, and we do not publish reviews or star ratings. Comparison tables are ordered by the criteria stated on the page (for example, alphabetically or by a stated specification), never by commission rate. See our product pages for the specification comparisons themselves.
