Methodology

The site is informational, not a substitute for testing or professional advice

Radon411 publishes predicted radon potential, reported test statistics, educational content and a professional directory. None of this substitutes for testing a specific building; EPA is explicit that testing is the only way to know the radon level in a specific building. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and nothing on this site diagnoses a health condition or estimates an individual's health risk.

Data accuracy

We source every figure we publish and document our methodology at /data/methodology/. Data can be incomplete, delayed relative to its original source, or (rarely) wrong. If you find an error, tell us with the form on the corrections page; we do not knowingly publish a fabricated figure, and we correct mistakes when we learn of them.

Directory listings

Professional directory listings are informational. A verification badge reflects what we have specifically confirmed and how, shown on the listing itself; it is not a guarantee of a business's work, licensing status, or insurance, which you should confirm directly with the business and your state's licensing authority.

Product comparisons

Product pages present specification comparisons drawn from manufacturer and retailer data, not hands-on testing we have performed ourselves, and say so. Where a link is an affiliate link, that is disclosed at the point of use.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the last update.
